Where are people in Sacramento going? See change in area foot traffic since early COVID
Sacramento was essentially a ghost town in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that there are vaccines and fewer reported cases, people are out hitting the town.
According to data collected by Safe Graph, a location data company, foot traffic in the region is up in most area ZIP codes over the last 18 months.
One ZIP code saw a 369.01% percent change. And in some areas, traffic decreased.
As of Thursday, roughly 58% of Sacramento County residents are vaccinated. The case rate is 15.7, as of Sunday.
The county hit its peak with cases last December, with a case rate of 63.4. The case rate is the seven-day average divided by the population per 100,000.
