The votes are in: This golf course is the best in the Sacramento region, readers say

After a round 540 votes and a few write-ins, The Sacramento Bee’s readers have named their choice for top golf course in the region.

Nabbing the top spot with 21% of the vote, or 115 votes, is the Ancil Hoffman Golf Course, located in Carmichael’s park by the same name along the American River.

The Del Paso Country Club in Arden Arcade came in second place, pulling 12% of the vote, or 65 total votes.

Teal Bend Golf Course, Timber Creek Golf Course, Apple Mountain Golf Resort, Haggin Oaks Golf Complex and William Land Golf Course each received more than 5% of the vote and between 37 and 46 individual votes.

These candidates each received less than 5% of the vote:

As for write-ins, a few courses received reader shoutouts: Whitney Oaks Golf Club, Yocha Dehe Golf Club, Granite Bay Golf Club, North Ridge Country Club, Darkhorse Golf Course, Valley Hi Country Club, Morgan Creek Golf Club, Catta Verdera Country Club, Castle Oaks Golf Club and Winchester Country Club were all recognized by readers who wrote in to the California Utility Team.
