Here’s where to find the cheapest gas as Sacramento breaks average price record (again)

As Sacramento and other California metros continue to regularly hit record-breaking gasoline price averages, you have to know where to look for cheaper pump costs.

On Thursday, California gas hit a little more than $4.69 per gallon for its average regular gas prices — a record breaker, according to the American Automobile Association.

Sacramento mirrors the state’s gas price climb, reaching a new average regular price of $4.71.

The new high Sacramento pump price is about 20 cents more than one month ago and roughly $1.54 more than last year’s pump price average, according to data from the AAA. Lack of travel during the height of the coronavirus pandemic sent gas prices plummeting in 2020.
