Two-alarm fire breaks out in Sacramento warehouse buildings in Upper Land Park
A two-alarm fire burned multiple vacant warehouse buildings on First Avenue near Fifth Street in Upper Land Park in Sacramento on Saturday.
The fire, which started around 1:40 p.m. according to the Sacramento Fire Department, has been contained and mostly extinguished. Firefighters will monitor the site for most of the night.
The buildings were once part of the operations of the California Shell Fish Co., but have been vacant for several years.
A firefighter suffered a back injury during the incident and was transported to a hospital.
