Pedestrian killed on Highway 99 near Sacramento’s Parkway neighborhood, CHP says
A pedestrian was struck and killed Tuesday night on Highway 99 in Sacramento’s Parkway area, authorities said.
The crash happened in southbound lanes of Highway 99 near Mack Road, the California Highway Patrol’s South Sacramento office said in social media posts just before 10 p.m.
Lanes were closed in the area for a few hours but reopened shortly after midnight, the CHP said.
The victim’s identity will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office pending notification of family.
