Temperatures in Sacramento are warming up to a high of 90 degrees Saturday and Sunday, according to the National Weather Service. Looking for ways to cool off? Here’s what’s open.

Water activities

Roseville water play

The city of Roseville is opening its water play areas from May 14 through Memorial Day, May 30, on weekends only. Spray grounds will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Henry Crabb Park and Vernon Street Town Square.

North Natomas Aquatic Complex

The North Natomas Aquatic Complex, 2601 New Market Dr., is one pool that has already opened for the season.

The newly opened aquatic complex features spiral water slides, a 50-meter competition pool and a splash pool. Admission to the park is $5 for children under 17, $7 for adults and free for children under 2. It is open on Saturdays and Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.

Lake Natoma

Lake Natoma is a reservoir of Folsom Lake and features many areas for swimming as well as hiking trails, bike trails and opportunities for boat fishing. Camping is also available at some parts around the lake year round.

It is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Parking at the lake is $10.

Want an indoor activity or ice cream to cool off instead? Here are three places you can visit this weekend:

California State Railroad Museum

1315 10th St., Sacramento

The California State Railroad Museum, open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., hosts educational activities for children, including a junior engineering program and story time.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for kids between 6 and 17.

Crocker Art Museum

216 O St., Sacramento

The Crocker Art Museum is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this weekend for those interested in viewing and learning about the state’s top art collections. Closed Monday and Tuesday, the museum operates from Wednesday through Sunday.

Admission to the museum is free for members, $15 for adults and $8 for children between 6 and 17 years old. Children under 5 are admitted for free. You can check availability for and reserve tickets online.

Gunther’s Ice Cream

2801 Franklin Blvd., Sacramento

Sacramento’s popular and historic ice cream shop is another option for those looking to cool off this weekend with something sweet. The featured flavor of the month is horchata.

The shop is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
