Metro Fire investigating after five vehicles burn at south Sacramento truck repair business

Authorities are investigating after a late-night fire burned five tractor-trailer vehicles in a south Sacramento truck repair business’ lot.

Crews were dispatched at 11:59 p.m. Sunday to the 7600 block of Wilbur Way, the site of South Sac Truck and Trailer Tire in incorporated south Sacramento, for reports of “multiple semi trucks on fire,” the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said in social media posts.

Video posted by Metro Fire appeared to show at least four cabs and at least one trailer engulfed in flames in the lot. Metro Fire spokesman Capt. Parker Wilbourn said five vehicles were burned in total.

Wilbourn said the cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.

The vehicle fires were knocked down around 1 a.m. Monday and no injuries were reported, Wilbourn said.
