Here are some Sacramento-area Pride Month events happening this weekend near you
Pride Month kicked off June 1, and there is a lot to do in Sacramento to celebrate.
Here are some of the events in the area the weekend of June 10-12, with more informal celebrations happening throughout the month:
▪ Sacramento Pride March and Festival: Saturday, June 11, 11 a.m., to Sunday, June 12, 8 p.m. on the Capitol Mall, in Sacramento. Join the LGBT Community Center as it brings more than 20,000 visitors to Sacramento to celebrate Pride. This is the most prominent LGBT event in the region. The two-day festival will include live music, vendors, a march to the State Capitol complete with floats and a remembrance of the Stonewall Riots of 1969.
▪ Davis Pride 2022: Sunday, June 12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Central Park, 401 C Street Davis. Davis’ Pride event will include live music, food trucks, merchandise, arts and crafts and more.
