Fire crews were attacking a multi-acre grass fire late Saturday afternoon near Lincoln Highway and the American River in Sacramento.

The Sacramento Fire Department estimates the blaze to be three acres, centered around the intersection of the highway and Northgate Boulevard.

Companies are on the scene working to contain the fire, the department said.

According to an agency spokesperson, no other information was available. The cause remains unknown.

The outbreak followed another Sacramento fire that burned a structure and multiple sheds Saturday morning.
