Two people were injured after a crash Friday night in Sacramento involving an ambulance.

The incident was reported about 11:45 p.m. on the 4200 block of Auburn Boulevard in the Del Paso Park neighborhood of the city, near the on-ramp to the Capital City Freeway and Interstate 80, according to the Sacramento Police Department. The ambulance was transporting a patient to a hospital at the time, police said.

Police said that the collision left two people with non-life-threatening injuries. They were transported to a hospital.

Police say the circumstances of the crash are still under investigation and were unable to provide details about the ambulance or the vehicle the ambulance collided with.
