Pedestrian hit by RT bus in North Highlands, Sacramento Metro Fire District says
A pedestrian was taken to a hospital Wednesday morning after being hit by a Sacramento Regional Transit bus in North Highlands.
The pedestrian had to be extricated from under the bus on Orange Grove Avenue, a residential street just north of Interstate 80, the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District said in tweets just before 6 a.m.
The pedestrian was transported by an ambulance to a hospital, Metro Fire said. Their condition and extent of their injuries were not immediately clear.
The California Highway Patrol’s North Sacramento office is handling the crash investigation, Metro Fire said.
