A woman escaped serious injury when she was struck by a motorist in an apparent hit-and-run early Friday morning in the Old Foothill Farms area of Sacramento County.

The woman in her 30’s was crossing from a gas station to a McDonald’s restaurant near Auburn Boulevard at Madison Avenue about 6:20 a.m., when she was hit by the unidentified passing vehicle, California Highway Patrol officials said Friday.
