Taco Bell is offering fans an updated take on its classic Nacho Fries — and Sacramento is getting an exclusive first taste.

The national taco chain is testing the new Grilled Cheese Nacho Fries at select restaurants across the city for a limited time starting Nov. 17, according to a news release.

Inspired by the Grilled Cheese Burrito, the new entree comes with a large helping of fries topped with “grilled marinated steak, warm nacho cheese sauce and a drizzle of creamy Chipotle Sauce,” a product description reads. The fries are then finished with a three-cheese blend and grilled until golden brown.

Pricing starts at $3.99 and is available in a beef option for $3.49, the release said.

The mashup is one of two new twists on Taco Bell’s fan-favorite French fries. On Thursday, the fast-food chain also introduced the new 7-Layer Nacho Fries at participating restaurants nationwide. For $3.99, customers can try it a la carte or in a burrito, for a limited time.

The original Nacho Fries returned to menus in October and was announced alongside news of the Enchirito’s comeback after a nearly 10-year wait, McClatchy News reported. Both are now available on menus nationwide.
