One person dies, others manage to escape after a Christmas Eve house fire in Rio Linda
One person died Saturday morning after a fire at a home in Rio Linda, Sacramento Metro Fire reported.
Two adults were able to escape on their own with an infant during the fire, which was first noted by Metro Fire in a 6:14 a.m. Twitter post.
“Crews arrived, and immediately went interior for an aggressive fire attack and search,” Metro Fire said in later post.
Another person was pulled from the blaze by crews and taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, the fire agency stated.
The victim later died from their injuries.
According to the department, the fire originated in a front living room and was determined to be accidental.
