1 killed, 3 taken to hospitals after crash near Sacramento’s Delta Shores shopping center
One person died and three others were taken to hospitals after a crash Thursday evening in Sacramento’s Meadowview neighborhood, near the Delta Shores shopping center, fire officials said.
Crews responded shortly before 8:15 p.m. to a two-vehicle collision near Cosumnes River Boulevard and Delta Shores Circle, the Sacramento Fire Department said in a tweet.
A man was pronounced dead at the scene, Sacramento Police Department spokesman Officer Chad Lewis said.
Another was transported to a hospital with “critical” injuries, and two more were transported with moderate injuries, the Fire Department tweeted. The three injured victims were last reported in stable condition, according to Lewis.
Traffic detectives are investigating the fatal crash, Lewis said.
The deceased victim’s identity will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office pending notification of family.
