Unrelenting storms have torn through California and the Sacramento area since New Year’s eve, tearing down trees with whipping winds, flooding roads and a deluge of rain. At least five people have died in Sacramento County, including two homeless people, some schools are closed, and thousands are still without power.
The atmospheric rivers aren’t finished yet, with more storms inbound this week. But as residents start to assess the damage done so far, The Sacramento Bee wants to know how you’re coping with the damage financially. Storm repairs can be expensive, especially if your insurance won’t pay for them.
