Bay dim sum favorite Dragon Beaux makes Sky River Casino debut

San Francisco’s Dragon Beaux restaurant, the high-concept Asian fusion favorite, is now open inside Sky River Casino in Elk Grove.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to officially open the doors of one of the best, authentic dim sum of the Bay Area right here at Sky River,” Chris Gibase, Sky River’s president and chief operating officer, said in a statement announcing the opening. “Dragon Beaux is a delicious addition to our wide selection of cuisine and we’ve been eager to finally welcome guests inside.”

Doors opened Wednesday. Menu offerings will include Dragon Beaux signatures including dim sum, hot pot, wok rice, hand-crafted dumplings, Cantonese roast meats and noodle dishes.

“We’re excited to welcome Sky River guests to our new space and share our delicious cuisine with the greater Sacramento area,” Dragon Beaux founder Willy Ng said in the statement describing Dragon Beaux’s “nostalgic yet modern approach to dim sum.”

The restaurant offers full dim sum cart service and an a la carte menu. Hours are 4 p.m.-10 p.m., Thursday-Monday. Dragon Beaux is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Sky River partnered with Ng’s Bay area-based Palette Group to open the casino site, a touted centerpiece of Sky River’s plan to become a premier destination on the Sacramento dining and gaming landscape.

“There are 17 bars and restaurants here that people are really going to gravitate to,” Gibase told The Bee in August. “The casino’s really nice ... but the restaurants, the bars, are what’s really going to wow people,” Gibase said. “If you’re a foodie, if you like to eat out or if you like trying different types of food, this is the place.”

Other Sky River offerings include SR Prime Steakhouse, Upper Barrel wine bar, craft beer taproom 32 Brews St., gourmet burger eatery Butcher’s Burgers and Dragon Beaux’s fast-casual sister site Koi Palace located inside the casino’s The Market at Sky River.
