Person found dead at Rancho Cordova hotel in apparent swimming pool drowning
A person was found dead Wednesday morning in a suspected drowning in the indoor swimming pool of a Rancho Cordova hotel, authorities said.
The victim was found at the Hampton Inn on Gold Center Drive, just off Highway 50, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Amar Gandhi said. Sheriff’s deputies and coroner’s officials responded to the scene.
The incident is being investigated as a drowning death and is not considered to be suspicious, Gandhi said.
Identification of the victim will be handled by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office pending notification of family.
