The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District extinguished a grass fire Saturday morning in Sacramento County.

Officials responded to a five-acre fire a little after 11 a.m. at a property owned by the Sacramento Area Modelers Club. The blaze, at Kiefer Boulevard and Zinfandel Drive, was started by the flying site’s maintenance team, said Capt. Parker Wilbourn with Sacramento Metro Fire.

The fire took about an hour to contain.

The “aggressive attack” included six engineers, three water tankers, a helicopter, dozer and battalion chief.
