$5 cocktails and wine in Sacramento? These restaurants are serving cheap drinks this summer

Soon, cheap drinks at your favorite downtown hangout spot won’t be too far-fetched.

Starting next month, more than 20 bars, lounges and restaurants in Sacramento will serve specialized drinks priced as cheap as $5, according to a statement from the Downtown Sacramento Partnership.

The promotion, Sunset Sips, is an extension of Dine Downtown where dozens of participating restaurants create specific meals for the program. This time the attention is on the beer, wine, cocktails and mocktails.

Once the weekly promotion begins in July, you’ll be able to get drinks for $5, $7 or $9 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays.

The drink promotion ends in August, according to the statement.
