Firefighters have stopped forward progress on a small vegetation fire in the Wilton area of Sacramento County.

The fire started about 11:35 a.m. along Dillard Road and Sunflower Road, near the Sky Way Estates Airport, according to the Wilton Fire Protection District. At least one acre has burned.

One structure had reportedly been threatened, according to fire officials, before the fire was put under control about 12:45 p.m.

Several miles east in Amador County, Cal Fire Amador-El Dorado unit is conducting a prescribed burn and live fire training at the Sacramento Valley Shooting Center in Sloughhouse.

According to Cal Fire, the prescribed burn will add 280 acres for a fire fuel break within the Van Vleck Vegetation Management Project.
