Sacramento County bridges close for Highway 99 project. Where and when they reopen

Several pedestrian bridges are closing in August as a result of the Highway 99 South Sacramento Improvement Project, according to Caltrans.

Four bridges, located at SR-99 between Broadway and Florin Road, are temporarily closing.

The agency adds that closure dates are estimations, and depend on the construction schedule.

Which bridges are closing?

The following bridges will close on respective dates:

8th Avenue: Closed through Aug. 29. There will be limited access from Aug. 30 to Sept. 14, and it will reopen on Sept. 15.

27th Avenue: Closed through Aug. 17, and will reopen Aug. 18.

44th and 43rd Avenue: Closed through Aug. 29. There will be limited access 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Aug. 30 to Sept. 24. It reopens Sept. 25.

Turnbridge Drive and Maynard Way: Closed through Aug. 29, and reopens Aug. 31.
