El Dorado County deputies investigate after woman’s body is found on Folsom Lake
The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a body was found late Saturday afternoon on Folsom Lake, authorities said.
The woman’s body was spotted in the area of Rattlesnake Bar, near the North Fork of the American River, by a person “who was recreating in the area,” Sheriff’s Office spokesman Sgt. Kyle Parker said.
The person who found the body immediately called 911, officials said.
The Sheriff’s Office is classifying the body as a Jane Doe pending further examination, Parker said.
Parker declined to comment further due to the case’s status as an active investigation.
