Foodieland returning to Sacramento with more than 110 food vendors. Here’s when and where
Foodieland, a multicultural food and entertainment event, is returning to Sacramento’s Cal Expo Sept. 1 through Sept. 3 for Labor Day weekend and Sept. 29 through Oct. 1.
On both weekends, Foodieland will have more than 110 food vendors including Bubble Cone, Ice Cream Garden and Kona Ice of Sacramento. The event will also host more than 75 merchandise vendors for guests to shop for accessories, apparel and handmade trinkets.
Here’s what you need to know if you plan to attend Foodieland:
Tickets
Tickets are $5 and only available for purchase through Etix. Tickets cannot be purchased at the entrance. Children under age 5 will be admitted free.
Event hours:
- Friday: 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Saturday: 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Sunday: 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The event will be held at Sacramento’s Cal Expo, 1600 Exposition Blvd.
Foodieland guidelines
To maximize your visit to Foodieland, here are some things you can do, according to its website:
- Buy tickets early and arrive before 5 p.m. to avoid lines
- Browse events and vendors online beforehand
- Wear comfortable shoes, sun protection and a hat
- If you go with friends, split up to get food and then share
The following items are prohibited, according to Cal Expo’s policy:
- Weapons or objects that appear to be weapons including toy blasters and squirt guns
- Bicycle riding, skateboarding, rollerblading, skating or recreational scooters
- Bringing in alcoholic beverages, narcotics or any illegal substances
- Drones, selfie sticks or tripods, including those purchased on-site
- Pets and emotional support animals (service animals are permitted)
- Items that obscure the face including clothing, apparel or masks (exceptions made for medical reasons)
