Sacramento heat is on its way back. Here’s when it will hit — and how hot it will get
After a glimpse of cool, fall weather over the weekend, the Sacramento area will see the return of its relentless heat.
Although temperatures are below normal for this time of year, according to the National Weather Service, it won’t last long. The region will warm up throughout the week, with highs in the low 90s by the weekend.
This is a time that some Sacramentans might call “Jalapeno Summer,” a quip about the weather’s ups and downs as the seasons change.
As of Monday morning, forecasts show the Sacramento area will be sunny with a high near 79 degrees and northwest winds up to 10 mph during the day. Lows are near 55 degrees with winds up to 7 mph.
Tuesday’s high is near 83, with winds up to 10 mph in the afternoon. At night, temperatures are near 58 with winds up to 11 mph.
Temperatures continue to pick up into Wednesday with highs around 88, lows near 60, and Thursday’s high near 90 with lows near 60.
Friday and Saturday kicks off the weekend with a high near 90 as well. Sunday is forecast at around 89 degrees.
