When will Sacramento temperatures cool down again? Rain to offer relief after heat risk
After a smoldering weekend in Sacramento, the region will see some rain, according to forecasts.
The National Weather Service is warning people of a moderate heat risk from Friday to Saturday, as temperatures reach up to 95 degrees. This type of heat can affect people who are sensitive to high temperatures, such as the elderly, children and outdoor workers.
The agency advises people to stay in a cool place, hydrate, dress appropriately and wear sunscreen.
Just as temperatures head for a slight cool down after Saturday, rain is expected to hit parts of the region. Sacramento, Grass Valley and Chico could see 0.10 to 0.25 inches on Monday and Tuesday. Stockton is forecast to get less than 0.10 inches.
Sacramento weather forecast
After a high of 95 degrees on Friday and Saturday in the Sacramento area, lows will be around 62 degrees.
Sunday is expected at around 90, with lows near 58. Temperatures then shoot down with Monday’s high near 77.
Chances of showers begin Monday night with a low near 61 and continue into Tuesday until 11 a.m.
Tuesday’s high is near 76. Temperatures go back up slightly Wednesday and Thursday with highs in the low 80s.
