Luxury gym chain to open in Sacramento County with $300 a month memberships
Life Time, a luxury fitness gym chain, is taking over the Arden Hills Athletic and Social Club and is slated to open in early 2024, according to its website.
This will be Life Time’s third location in the greater Sacramento area with bases in Roseville, Folsom and, now, Arden Arcade at 1220 Arden Hills Lane.
Arden Hills officially closes on Dec. 31. The family-run private club and resort has been running for 69 years, but financial setbacks due to the COVID-19 pandemic led to its sale to Life Time, The Bee reported last week.
“We are excited to build upon the Arden Hills legacy to create an incredible, high-end athletic country club experience dedicated to empowering healthier, happier lives for members,” Brian Gaeta, Life Time Vice President of Club Operations said in a news release on Friday.
According to the release, further plans and renderings will be released in the coming weeks. This includes renovating the space with the intention of minimizing the impact on club members and updating equipment, workout areas, pools, tennis courts, spa and dining areas.
Life Time operates more than 170 clubs in North America, offering specialized training, weight loss programs, cycle and yoga classes, indoor tennis, pickleball and a workout floor.
Life Time membership prices
Life Time’s “Signature Membership” starts at $299 per month.
It includes amenities such as studio classes, indoor swimming pools and resort-style locker rooms. Members will also get access to training programs, other Life Time locations, indoor tennis, pickleball and childcare.
For those 26 years and younger or 65 and up, membership prices start at $199 a month. They’ll get access to one location and the regular amenities, such as studio classes and indoor swimming pools.
You can find a full list of the options and amenities on its website.
