Rite Aid is closing these two Sacramento County pharmacies amid bankruptcy filing
Two Sacramento County pharmacies are slated to close after Pennsylvania-based chain Rite Aid filed for bankruptcy.
As part of the Chapter 11 bankruptcy process, the company confirmed it would be closing “underperforming” stores, including 31 in California.
Rite Aid locations closing in Sacramento
These Sacramento County Rite Aid locations are expected to close:
▪ 5409 Sunrise Blvd., Citrus Heights
▪ 1309 Fulton Ave., Arden Arcade
The timeline of the store closures is still unclear and is subject to change, according to court documents.
How will this affect customers?
In an FAQ released by Rite Aid regarding its bankruptcy, the company said it will continue to serve customers.
“We are committed to delivering the leading healthcare products and services that you expect from us,” the company wrote. “You can still find what you are looking for at our stores and fill your prescriptions at our pharmacies.”
As of Oct. 18, Rite Aid said that customers can still fill and pick up their prescriptions at the pharmacies scheduled to close.
