A new ‘sometimes vegan’ coffee shop opens in downtown Sacramento. What’s on the menu?
Sacramento welcomes a new addition to its line of local coffee shops with the opening of Immortal Cafe and Supply, a “vegan-esque” stop with drinks and food.
The shop opened over the weekend at 1111 H St., Suite 102, according to a news release Friday. It’s located on the ground floor of The Offices at Retro Lodge building, which previously housed Naked Lounge, another local coffee brand.
Immortal Cafe kicked off its opening with an album release listening party for friends and local alternative rock band, A Foreign Affair.
“It’s no secret that alternative music is woven into the fabric of our brand,” the shop said in an Instagram post. “All of us at Immortal grew up going to shows where we could find them... Music drives and inspires us. It calms and brings us solace.”
The Bee couldn’t reach representatives of the coffee shop for immediate comment.
The menu at Immortal Cafe features regional flare and is “sometimes vegan,” according to its website. In the mornings until 11 a.m., you have your choice of steel-cut oats, scones, pastries — including pistachio or matcha shortbread — or cazuela, egg or tofu with turmeric, white beans and potatoes.
From noon to 8 p.m., the shop offers sweet and savory crostinis, a seasonal lasagna with tofu cashew ricotta and a fall salad.
Prices start at $2 for food items.
The coffee menu includes drip coffee, shaken ice lattes, cortado, espresso, as well chai, matcha and tea. Prices start at $3.50.
What time is it open?
Immortal Cafe will be open 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday to Saturday.
It is closed on Mondays and Sundays.
