Here are the top 50 places to eat in the Sacramento area, according to Yelp

In its latest round-up, Yelp ranked 50 of the top places to eat in the area for 2023 with restaurants from the downtown grid to Folsom, Roseville and Stockton.

The Sacramento region is home to some of the best eats with a diverse palate from Mediterranean cuisine to Italian and Japanese.

“If you’re looking to hit all the high notes of the Sacramento area dining scene, you’ve come to the right place,” Yelp wrote in its findings. “This collection is packed with some of the tastiest, most highly-rated restaurants around.”

To rate the eateries, the user-generated service looked at factors such as total volume and review ratings of restaurants between summer 2022 and 2023. The list was published at the end of October.

All businesses were open and have a passing health score, when available, as of Sept. 30.

Represa Grill by Chef William Hartzell in Folsom topped the list. Featuring American dishes, the spot’s popular orders include a buttermilk fried chicken sandwich, steak and brie panini and its “shroom” burger, according to its Yelp page.

It is followed by Urban Grill & Salad, a Meditteranean restaurant in Rancho Cordova, and House of Thai Rice & Noodle in North Highlands.
