How much rain did Sacramento get? Here’s the latest — and what’s coming next
Sacramento has endured episodes of light to moderate rain this week and meteorologists say more is on the way.

How much rain fell in Sacramento?
National Weather Service meteorologist Sara Purdue said downtown Sacramento received 0.38 inches of rain, between 8 a.m. Wednesday and 8 a.m. Thursday, with higher amounts across the Sacramento Valley.
According to the weather service, rainfall totals for the other areas of the valley include:

▪ Sacramento Executive Airport: 0.48
▪ Downtown Sacramento: 0.38
▪ Elk Grove: 0.32
▪ Roseville: 0.16
▪ Rocklin near Rocklin High School: 0.29
▪ Citrus Heights, north of Sunrise Mall: 0.24
▪ Folsom: 0.2
▪ Orangevale: 0.28
▪ Antelope: 0.23
▪ Rancho Cordova: 0.23
▪ Auburn: 0.39

When will it rain again?
Rain will return on Thursday with near-freezing temperatures, the National Weather Service said.
According to the weather service, there’s a 70% chance of showers after 2 p.m. on Thursday. Winds will whip between 5 and 10 mph.
Purdue said there’s a 22% chance Sacramento will receive a quarter of an inch of rain or more.
Sunny skies will return Friday, the weather service said, but winds are forecast to pick up, coupled with gusts as high as 22 mph with areas of frost. Nighttime temperatures will drop to 34 degrees, warming slightly to 38 degrees by Sunday night.
Daytime temperatures will range between 56 and 58 degrees over the weekend, according to the weather service.
