It’s time to bet your bottom dollar.
The sun will come out tomorrow.
It’s been a gloomy few days in the capital region, but starting Thursday and headed into the holiday weekend, rainy conditions will shift to clear skies in Sacramento.
Wednesday evening, the storm will begin to move south, making its way to Southern California, said Michelle Mead, meteorologist at the National Weather Service.
“We are still anticipating some showers and thunderstorms mainly along South of Interstate 80,” she said.
There is a 10 to 20% chance of thunderstorms to pop up Wednesday afternoon and early evening. The storm can bring gusty winds and heavy rain throughout the Delta and Southern Sacramento area, according to a Wednesday National Weather Service post on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Wednesday night, skies will begin to clear, according to the weather service. Thursday morning, it will be “mostly cloudy.” The sun will begin to peak through later in the day. Light showers will continue to impact the mountain and foothill area, Mead said.
Friday through Monday will be sunny to mostly sunny in the Sacramento area, according to the five-day weather forecast.
“It’ll be a nice Christmas,” Mead said.
