One person dies as car flips and catches fire in West Sacramento crash

A fiery car crash early Saturday in West Sacramento left at least one person dead and another injured, police said in a statement.
According to West Sacramento officers, the crash happened about 12 a.m. near Southport Parkway and Silverwood Road when a car overturned and caught fire.
Two people were inside the car when officers arrived, police said. One was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was taken to a hospital in an unknown condition.
