According to the ranking reviewing site, formerly known as College Prowler, the top 10 public elementary schools in the Sacramento area are in the suburbs.

Rocklin Academy Meyers in Rocklin ranked No. 1 on Niche’s list with an A+ rating. Robert E. Willett Elementary School in Davis and Valley View Elementary School in Rocklin followed closely behind with an A.

The list is compiled using data from the U.S. Department of Education and reviews from millions of students and parents. Schools are then ranked on a grade scale, D- to A+, based on diversity, state assessment scores, the student-to-teacher ratio, the quality of the school district and its teachers, and grade school ratings.
