Clouds are looming over Sacramento, casting a shadow of anticipation.

Will it rain? How low will temperatures get? How quickly will the wind whip?

Here’s the latest weather forecast for Sacramento:

What the weather forecast for Sacramento?

The National Weather Service predicts cooler temperatures and scattered showers for the Sacramento Valley and foothills this week.

According to the weather agency’s latest seven-day forecast, Sacramento could see light winds, rain and cloudy skies.

The forecast for Tuesday night shows mostly clear skies with temperatures as low as 52 degrees. Winds will sweep across Sacramento at around 6 to 10 mph.

Clear and sunny skies are in the forecast for Wednesday. Winds could blow at around 6 to 8 mph, gradually increasing to around 10 mph by the evening.

Temperatures will range from a high near 73 degrees and a low around 50.

On Thursday, winds will continue sweeping through the city at around 8 to 10 mph. Along with temperatures ranging from a high near 70 and a low around 53, skies will be mostly sunny.

A 20% chance of rain is in the forecast on Friday after 11 a.m. The high will be near 72 degrees and the low will be around 49.

This weekend’s forecast shows mostly clear and sunny skies. Temperatures can reach a high near 76 and a low of about 51 degrees.
