The Elk Grove City Council will meet Wednesday night to decide the next phase of the 97-year-old Sacramento Zoo.

Founded in 1927, the zoo has anchored Land Park since the neighborhood’s early days. The Elk Grove city councilors will vote to approve or deny the first phase of development of a new site near Kammerer Road and Lotz Parkway.
