Taiwanese fruit tea shop chain opens new location in Sacramento area. What’s on the menu?
A popular California chain of Taiwanese-style fruit tea shops just opened a new location in the Sacramento area.
Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea, which also serves tea lattes and boba tea, started its soft opening at 8460 Elk Grove Blvd., Suite 300 in Elk Grove on Friday.
The location is the chain’s “most eastern” location in Northern California, according to a post on Instagram.
“We look forward to having everyone for our grand opening when it comes!” the boba store said in a post.
Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea will be open for a limited time before its official opening date, store representative David Chan said Monday morning. It will serve a limited menu until then.
“We’re still finalizing the exact date for the grand opening because we want to make sure our team is totally prepped to give our patrons the best boba experience possible, by using fresh ingredients, providing friendly service, the works!” Chan said.
What is Yi Fang Tawain Fruit Tea?
Yi Fang is known for its old-fashioned Taiwanese premium tea, according to its website.
The chain has stores across California, including multiple shops in San Francisco, Berkeley and Fremont. It also has locations in Los Angeles, Pasadena and Irvine.
According to the company’s website, Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea is named after the owner’s grandmother, Yi Fang.
The Fang family has been growing pineapples for three generations, the website said.
“With an epiphany, grandma braised the overripe golden pineapples into preservable homemade jam,” the owner said on the Yi Fang website. “Our most sought-out drink, Yifang Fruit Tea, inherited not only grandma’s name, but also her secret recipe.”
What’s on the menu?
Drinks at Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea feature “home-made organic cane sugar, seasonal fresh fruits, and natural ingredients,” the company said.
Fruit tea flavors include pineapple, passion fruit, lychee, peach and strawberry.
There are also milk tea lattes and seasonal drinks.
You can choose different toppings for your tea, including boba, sago or jelly.
