How did Best Brokers come up with its list?
A team at Best Brokers searched Airbnb.com for the top 10 most expensive vacation rentals in each state. The researchers then filtered out the costliest Airbnb listing in every state, including all taxes and fees.
Those included cleaning fees, Airbnb service fees and occupancy taxes.
Best Brokers then looked at the 20 priciest rentals overall and ranked them based on the total price for a 7-night stay in July 2024, which is considered “a peak month for vacation rentals in the U.S.”
“We also looked at essential information for each Airbnb such as property type, cost per night, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, maximum guest capacity and premium amenities,” Best Brokers said.
