13-year-old girl ‘located safe’ after going missing in North Sacramento, police say

Missing person found

Sacramento police said Saturday they had found a 13-year-old girl who was reported missing and was last seen in a North Sacramento neighborhood that morning.

In an update just after 7:30 p.m., a police spokesman said the girl was “located safe.” No other details about how or where she was found were shared.

The teen was seen about 11:15 a.m. on the 2500 block of Taft Street in South Hagginwood. Police at the time shared a detailed description of the girl and what she was wearing at the time of her disappearance.

She was deemed at risk because of her age, police said.
