Police ask for public’s help in locating 76-year-old who went missing in Sacramento neighborhood

The Sacramento Police Department is calling on residents to help locate a 76-year-old man who went missing two days ago.

John Alvarez was last seen around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, the police announced on Twitter on Tuesday. He is considered at risk due to an unspecified medical condition.

He was last spotted leaving the area of 23rd and Atlas avenues in the North City Farms neighborhood of south Sacramento. Alvarez is 5-foot-6 and 165 pounds. He was wearing an orange shirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap at the time he went missing.

Anyone with information about Alvarez’s location or how to find him is asked to call the Sacramento Police Department at 916-808-5471.
