The Sacramento region just made room for another fast-casual eatery — and this one features a unique twist on fried chicken and waffles.

Bruxie will hold its grand opening on Saturday at 500 First St., Suite 9, in the Davis Commons shopping center, according to a June 20 news release from the franchise.

It’s the first Northern California location for the Southern California-based chain, which has sites across the state and in Georgia.

“The city of Davis embodies a vibrant community spirit and a passion for quality dining experiences,” Bruxie Davis partner Kevin Massie wrote in the release.

“Our commitment to innovative flavors and exceptional service aligns perfectly with the values of this community,” he added.
