The city of Sacramento is looking to hire workers in July for positions across a variety of departments, including utilities and community development.

According to the city website, employee “benefits include employee orientations, insurance enrollment and changes, flexible spending accounts, deferred compensation and retirement transition.”

Administrative analyst | Permanent, full-time

  • Department: Utilities
  • Salary: $80,460 to $105,571 per year

The administrative analyst manages and develops budgets, oversees the staff’s performance measures, conducts safety training and engages in strategic planning.

With a supervisor’s approval, employees might be able to work remotely. However, they must live in the Sacramento area and be able to quickly report to a city worksite when needed.

Building inspector I | Permanent, full-time

  • Department: Community Development
  • Salary: $70,537 to $99,252 per year

The building inspector will perform detailed inspections and plan reviews for new city construction projects, alterations and repairs to ensure compliance with various codes, ordinances and standards.
