A popular Elk Grove brewery closed its doors over the weekend after eight years in business.

Tilted Mash Brewing served its customers for the last time on Sunday at 9175 Union Park Way after temporarily adjusting its hours in July during “challenging times,” according to its social media pages.

It’s unclear why the business closed.

Company representatives were not immediately available for comment on Monday.

“We’ve had the privilege of watching friendships form, memories made, and seeing the community come together over great brews,” the brewery wrote in a farewell message to its customers on Facebook.

“It’s never been just about the beer,” the team added. “It’s always been about the people, and for that, we will forever be thankful.”

The Sacramento-area business opened in April 2016.

What is Tilted Mash Brewing? What was on the menu?

Tilted Mash Brewing’s drink list featured India pale ales, stouts and seltzers, according to its social media pages.

Customer favorites included ube and milk stouts, and double IPAs, according to business review site Yelp.

The food truck on site, Grajeda’s Mexican Grill, offered customers tacos and quesadillas topped with salsa, cilantro, onion, radishes and more.

Once a year, Tilted Mash Brewing hosted a chili cook-off charity event with unlimited tastings.

The brewery also offered a list of incentives, from drink specials to prizes.

“Though our doors are now closed, the spirit of Tilted Mash Brewing will live on in all of you,” brewery representatives wrote on social media on Saturday, thanking the community for “raising a glass.”

“We hope our paths cross again,” they added.

According to California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control records, Jonathan Martinez is the primary owner of the business.
