Snoop Dogg is returning to the Sacramento area later this year — and he’ll be taking the stage at Thunder Valley Casino Resort.

The 16-time Grammy Award-nominated rapper performed in concert in downtown Sacramento about a year ago, joining Wiz Khalifa and other hip hop artists on the H.S. Reunion Tour.

Snoop Dogg will perform at The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln on Friday, Dec. 27, the resort announced.

The platinum-selling rapper is set to release his new studio album, “Missionary,” in November.

“We are thrilled” to welcome Snoop Dogg to the casino resort, which is a 30-minute drive from Sacramento, Dawn Clayton, Thunder Valley general manager, said in a Tuesday news release. “We are confident this will be an unforgettable show.”
