The airline will launch new nonstop service between Sacramento International Airport and Tucson International Airport in the spring, Tucson airport officials announced Wednesday.
“We are delighted” that the two airports will served with nonstop flights provided by Southwest Airlines and Alaska Airlines, Tucson Airport Authority President/CEO Danette Bewley said in a news release.
When are direct flights from Sacramento to Tucson available?
Direct flights from Sacramento to Tucson will begin on Saturday, March 8, and be available on Saturdays and Sundays.
Southwest Airlines is currently accepting air reservations through April 7.

Which other airlines offer nonstop flights to Arizona?
Southwest Airlines isn’t the only airline offering direct flights from Sacramento to Tucson.
Alaska Airlines announced in July that it was adding 18 direct flights for the winter travel season, including four new nonstop routes that depart from Sacramento International Airport.
Direct trips to Tucson will be available daily between Jan. 6 and April 21, The Bee previously reported.
During that time, Alaska Airlines is also offering nonstop flights to Orlando and Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta in Mexico.
