One person killed, multiple injured in Highway 160 crash, Rio Vista Fire Department says
One person died and multiple passengers were injured in a Sacramento County traffic collision Sunday evening on Highway 160 near Sherman Island Road, the Rio Vista Fire Department said.
According to California Highway Patrol activity logs, three vehicles were involved: a white Toyota SUV, a maroon Ford F-150 and another dark-colored SUV that appeared to be black.
The crash happened just after 5 p.m. Sunday, according to the CHP logs, and left one vehicle crashed blocking the road, one down the embankment and the other in the water.
The Rio Vista Fire Department posted on Facebook around 6 p.m. that there would be delays and to avoid the area.
