A pedestrian was struck and killed by a car Sunday evening near the Town and Country Village shopping center in Arden Arcade, California Highway Patrol officials said.

The wreck happened around 5:30 p.m. on the 3000 block of Marconi Avenue near Lacy Lane. The CHP said the pedestrian was trying to cross when they were hit by a car traveling westbound.
