The family of a Sacramento-area teen shot and killed at a Los Angeles mansion party has opened a GoFundMe account to lay him to rest.

Sah’Dell Roberts, 16, died in the early Sunday shooting that wounded six others following an argument at a home in Woodland Hills, according to news reports. The gunman reportedly fired a weapon into the air before shooting into the crowded party fatally striking the teenager.

Roberts was a student at Highlands High School in the Twin Rivers Unified School District.

“He could light up your whole day, the goofiest boy on earth,” wrote heartbroken family members in the GoFundMe posting. “He was greater than anything in this world, even if he didn’t realize it himself.”

The North Highlands teen, remembered as a son, nephew, baby brother and friend, loved music, family members said.

“It inspired him the most,” the posting read. “Unfortunately, that dream was cut too soon.”

Now, as the Roberts grapple with Sah’Dell’s loss, they are asking the community for help.

Money from the online fundraising effort, family members said, will pay for his burial and a memorial “that truly reflects the amazing young man he was.”
