Sacramento-area high school student missing; woman sought in his disappearance
Authorities have put out a Sacramento County alert for a missing teen and a woman believed to be tied to his disappearance.
Missing is 15-year-old Jason Brooks, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued an endangered persons alert on behalf of the Twin Rivers Unified School District Police Department.
Jason was last seen about 7:15 a.m. Tuesday walking in the area of San Juan Road and Ranch Roble Way in Sacramento’s South Natomas neighborhood. He is 6-foot-4 and 165 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gray jumpsuit and black and red shoes.
It was not known if Jason was a student in the district but the area from which he disappeared is several blocks east of Natomas High, which belongs to a different district.
Authorities said in the alert that they were also looking for Ashley Patterson, 34. CHP officials did not describe Patterson’s relationship to Brooks in the alert message, labeling her only as a suspect in the teenager’s disappearance. Patterson is 5-foot-4 and 181 pounds. Authorities did not know what clothes Patterson was wearing when she was last seen.
The CHP is asking anyone who has seen either person or both to call 911.
