A new Italian restaurant is coming to the Sacramento area.
Crazee for Pasta will open in Rancho Cordova in the fall, according to Sergio Mirabelli, owner of ESM Restaurant Group.
The ESM Restaurant Group currently owns Caffe Italiano Ristorante, 8112 Madison Ave. in Fair Oaks, and plans to open two other restaurants in the Sacramento area: steak and seafood restaurant La Cantera Rosa in Fair Oaks and Italian restaurant Florian Cafe and Deli in Roseville.
Crazee For Pasta is part of Mirabelli’s plan to expand and take on new initiatives for the business, he said.
“Our success is not just measured by the number of customers we serve, but by the quality of experiences we create and the warmth we bring to our community,” Mirabelli wrote on the ESM Restaurant Group site.
What is Crazee For Pasta?
Crazee For Pasta plans to bring the “authentic taste of Italy” to the Sacramento area, according to the restaurant’s site.
Crazee For Pasta said it offers “more than just a meal” with “a diverse selection” of foods and “quality you can taste.”
Mirabelli expressed a desire to offer Italian food that is both high quality and affordable for the Rancho Cordova community.
“We were trying to bring Italian food to everybody,” Mirabelli told The Sacramento Bee by phone. “We will try to bring the best possible product with the best possible price.”
Where is new Sacramento-area restaurant?
Crazee For Pasta will open its doors at 2204 Sunrise Blvd. in Rancho Cordova in a space that was previously occupied by a China Star restaurant.
The Sunriver Village shopping center is also home to a Final Cut Trading Card Game store, Grocery Outlet and Gangnam Ave. Korean barbecue restaurant.
What’s on the menu at Rancho Cordova eatery?
Crazee For Pasta’s menu offers a wide variety of items, including appetizers, pasta, risotto, flatbread pizzas and fish.
Appetizers include bruschetta, caprese and deep-fried calamari rings.
There are about 20 different pasta options that include classic fettuccine alfredo, gnocchi in tomato sauce and homemade lasagna.
Protein-based dishes include chicken piccata, grilled salmon, and fettuccine alfredo with prawns.
Mirabelli told The Bee that the new restaurant will offer gluten-free pasta for customers with allergies.
Crazee For Pasta will also offer a Sunday brunch with mimosas, bellinis and espresso martinis.
Patrons can expect to pay between $11.95 to $22.95 per meal, according to the menu.
When does Crazee For Pasta open?
Crazee For Pasta is estimated to take three months of work once permits are approved, according to Mirabelli.
He hopes to have the business operating by September.
“We have the time and the effort to do it right,” Mirabelli told The Bee. “This will be a community restaurant.”
